Can you get your teeth cleaned - I finished my last chemo on March 20th? Thank you for your help.

    Thank you all for your answers. I did talk to my oncologist and she said yes to a cleaning but nothing more for a while. Thanks again for your help.

    I did. But you might ask your Oncologist to make sure. I was told teeth cleaning was ok..but nothing more than that.

    I had my cleanings during chemo, you should let your dentist know you are undergoing chemo because chemo affects your tooths enamel, mine gave me fluoride that I had to brush on the night before my treatment date.

    I finished chemo June 30th. I then had radiation until Sept 21. I had my teeth cleaned in November. I waited until my energy and numbers started bouncing back in the mormal range.

    I went shortly after chemo, but my dentist asked me to get a note from oncologist that it was ok. Which was easy . They were really gentle on my gums .

    My dentist really helped me. No only did he help me with my teeth but was ablr
