Is it normal for your breasts to be sore after a mammogram?

    I think they did a good job if you are sore.

    Sorry about that hit the done button too fast. Yes sometimes your breast will be tender after a mammogram from the squeezing of the apparatus.

    Learning About Breast Cancer

    My breasts are sore three days later. The actual mammogram was horrendous. They say because I have dense tissue. I have researched mammograms and there are a lot of other women who have pain and worse following their mammograms. Unfortunately their doctors shut them up, or they are too afraid to say anything. Plus, I think the number of these cases are low. Either way they need to find a different method. I have found that there are other options. Ultrasound is one, or Thermagram is another. No radiation either.
