That's exactly what I did. Both surgeons, oncologist and plastic, working together, at the same surgery. I had expanders put on. It's really uncomfortable, but they're temporary. Now I'm done, with the right implants on, niples and tattoos! No regrets at all!!

I had Expanders put in after my surgery. My right side was radiated therefore having trouble with swelling! If I had to do it over I would not of had expanders but I'm not finished maybe I'll change my mind!

Talk to your doctor, of course, but the good news is that 9 out 10 lumps are benign. I know it can be scary to have to wait, but I hope you can have some peace knowing that the odds are in your favor. Either way, don't be afraid to get a second opinion, and be encouraged that you are doing...
Talk to your doctor, of course, but the good news is that 9 out 10 lumps are benign. I know it can be scary to have to wait, but I hope you can have some peace knowing that the odds are in your favor. Either way, don't be afraid to get a second opinion, and be encouraged that you are doing everything you can to catch it early. I find the best way to get beyond the fear is to talk and talk and talk more to my friends and loved ones. It's good to get your feelings and fears out in the open. I hope this helps! Praying for a good report.

Thanks, I will be getting a second opinion ASAP. They did end up finding a "nodule" that they have no idea what it is..

Learning About Breast CancerIt really depends on the type of biopsy you're having performed. I had a core needle biopsy done. They deadened the area first and it wasn't painful....just a little uncomfortable that's all. I had to hold my arm above my head for a little while and it was sore. It was worth it finding my cancer...

I had two core biopsies last week, still waiting the results. The area is anaethetised, it was not sore the only thing that was uncomfortable was the doctor pressing the ultrasound very firmly on my breast. all the best to you.
