To put it simply, cells in the body that should die, don't ; instead they start duplicating. The duplication of those bad cells is the cancer.

Everyone says different things. Drinking, poor diet and being overweight can contribute. I don't drink much, am very healthy and active and I still got it. My doctor said it can sometimes be bad luck. So, get screened! Early detection is key!!!

Susan love research foundation has a good article about the research of soy products and breast cancer. Like anything overdoing is the culprit soy is a natural estrogen. The controversy comes from making soy a main source of your diet. Soy milk soy supplements soy beans tofu. My doctor had told me occasional tofu and occasional soy beans or occasional shoyu is fine. Where as my cousins doctor told her she had to read all ingredients and avoid all soy products. She was going nuts reading ingredients and soy is pretty much in everything she was scared to eat anything. On Susan loves link to the soy study http://www.dslrf.org/breastcancer/content.asp?CATID=0&L2=4&L3=5&L4=0&PID=&sid=130&cid=2129
Hope this helps

Most lotions contain soy as well so try to avoid those that do.

My brother-in-law was diagnosed around Christmas with the same type of breast cancer I had. Men develop breast cancer just like women do, it is just not as often. The treatments are the same. My brother-in-law had a mastectomy and it was early stage. He had an oncotype-DX test and it was so low grade, he did not have to have any further treatment. It tested out er/pr positive her2 neg. He felt a lump in his breast and when he pushed on it, fluid seeped out of his nipple. He went right in to have the doctor check it, the doctor sent him in for a mammogram.... surgery. Done... He is doing great.
“ An Early Detection Plan (EDP) significantly increases the chances of surviving breast cancer. ”
