Learning About Breast Cancer
From everything I have read it occurs in the brain, bones, lungs, and liver. Other areas are not too common with ibc, but of course like all cancers it can spread anywhere. I have ibc.
Comment 0I think recurrance can happen in a variety of areas of the body. One can't say where it would happen if it did. If you are having continueing discomfort, or something out of the norm. contact your oncologist asap. Take care, Sharon

Sheri,
This is a great question to ask your oncologist. If he can't answer you, it's time to find a new oncologist maybe in a larger city or cancer center. Not all oncologists are created equal! My brother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer this past December. His physician felt it was such early stage and -0- on the onco DX test he could have a consult with a suburban oncologist in his area. His doctor said if it would have been a more aggressive or later stage cancer he would have sent him into Seattle. Hang in there and take care, Sharon

My husband and I have decided that if the cancer comes back we have to go somewhere else for treatment. Unfortunately we live in a medium sized city with basically only 3-4 options and my insurance only covers this one group of drs. We will do what it takes to save my life, I just pray it doesn't...

Unfortunately we live in a medium sized city with basically only 3-4 options and my insurance only covers this one group of drs. We will do what it takes to save my life, I just pray it doesn't come at the cost of financial ruin. I have enough to feel guilty about as it is! :-)
