- I was diagnosed in 2008 and underwent a unilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. I was blessed to not undergo chemo or radiation. I am currently taking tamoxifen. In 2010 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Together the treatments for these two cancers have turned my endocrine system upside down!
